History of the Spokane County Jail Ministries
In 1986 Roger Swift became a volunteer at the Spokane County Jail. He started by teaching a
weekly Bible study and then he started working in the Sunday program. Rev. Dan Lynch asked Roger to become his Assistant Chaplain in 1987. Rev. Roger Swift became head Chaplain in 1990, serving under the ministry name of Spokane County Jail Ministries.
